1950?  Smiths TH Windup Clock.  Made in England.  Non-functioning.  7" in diameter.  Unknown source.

The minute-hand is the hare and the hour-hand the tortoise.  The hour-hand in this item unfortunately hangs loose, and the windup key seems to effect nothing.  The legend notes "The Tortoise creeps round once, how slow!  Twelve times as fast the Hare will go…."  I find similar Smiths TH versions online, including a working mantel version for $689!  Another version has a second dial where "Smiths" appears in this version.  Our first clock!

1971  Large Ceramic Wall Clock Featuring FG.  Signed “Irene Johnson, 10/25/71.”  16” x 12” x 3.5”.  Battery powered.  Unknown source.

Unfortunately, the hands of this clock were loose when it arrived.  I doubt that the way we put them back together will have the clock running.  It is large, and heavy, made from some pottery material.  The fox and grapes come alive in the bas-relief.  Our second clock!  Ebay offers a version of this with weights as a cuckoo clock with "Holland Mold" on the back -- and, as in ours, battery-driven clockwork.
