My normal policy is to include in this collection only items specifically related to fables. While anything presenting “Lion and Mouse” belongs in the collection, a simple lion or mouse does not. I have made an exception of finger puppets. We have collected several different sets, some of them, I believe, to offer characters to grade-school pupils charged with presenting a fable play with finger puppets. I suspect that these finger puppets have suffered heavy casualties! What remains seems to be divided into several groups and then some additional individual puppets.
A. One group seems to have come from a wider group advertised on Amazon: ten characters plus a second mouse.
Bear | Frog |
Hen | Mule |
Snake | Pig |
Rabbit | Mouse |
Zebra | Lamb |
B. A second group consists of four similarly dressed frogs:
C. Then there is a group of ten humans:
D. And animals not belonging to any of the above groups:
E. And one last rooster, considerably larger (4.5" high) than any of the other finger puppets and with a pair of strings attached.
