Returning Students

Welcome Back to Campus!

We hope that you have had a successful and rewarding study abroad experience. Sharing your experience and telling other students about study abroad is a great way to keep your experience alive. The GEO is always interested in hearing about your adventures abroad. We encourage you to make an appointment with a Global Programs Coordinator to chat about your recent experience.

After Your Study Abroad Experience

  • Submit your Photos and Videos to the GEO!  If you took a great photo (or twenty) during your travels, we encourage you to submit them to studyabroadadvisor@creighton.edu.  Photos of you in your host country or landscape/scenery shots are all welcome entries!

  • Volunteer!  Volunteer to be part of a past participant panel, to participate in New International Student Orientation, or to staff a table at the Study Abroad Fair.  Additional volunteer opportunities for returned study abroad students can be found at the SCSJ.  A call will be sent out at the start of each Fall semester for new Peer Ambassadors.

  • Become a Student Buddy for incoming exchange students!  Please e-mail studyabroadadvisor@creighton.edu to volunteer to act as a Creighton "buddy", host, and mentor to an incoming exchange student.  This is a great opportunity to continue your intercultural experience after you return to Omaha.

Join the Jays Abroad Squad!

No one knows study abroad from a student’s perspective better than a study abroad student! The Jays Abroad Squad is a team of passionate study abroad program alumni from Creighton-In and ISEP programs, FLPAs, and short-term programs abroad through Creighton University. This dedicated team of volunteers will assist the Global Engagement Office (GEO) Global Programs Coordinators and Study Abroad Peer Ambassadors in guiding potential students through the discernment process of choosing a study abroad program and walking alongside new study abroad students as they prepare for their experience abroad. E-mail studyabroadadvisor@creighton.edu to join the team!
