Awards and Scholarships

1. Wonderful news for the Russian Program and Creighton University!  Sarah Daley, Russian class student and Russian Club member has been selected for a Fulbright grant to Ukraine by the Fulbright Scholarship Board.  Sarah has been a student in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at Creighton University for the past three and one half years.  She has demonstrated leadership skills and excellent academic achievements.  Sarah was the Vice President of the Pi Theta Epsilon, the academic honor society of Occupational Therapy and through her successful work received the Pi Theta Epsilon Member of the Year Award.  Sarah Daley will begin her program in Ukraine in 2010.  She is planning to conduct work on "Cultural Patterns of Occupational Engagement of Institutionalized Ukrainian Children". Congratulations to her and best of luck in her future pursuits!!!

2. Anya Burkart, German Major, won the 2008-2009 German-American Society Scholarship in April. Congratulations / Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

3. Three students of German at Creighton passed the Goethe Institut ZD exam at UNO this spring.  The next internationally recognized Goethe Exam will be held at Creighton University in April 2010. Congratulations / Herzlichen Glückwunsch! More info.
