Women's Imaging Fellowship

Creighton University School of Medicine – Phoenix’s fellowship program in Women's Imaging is ready to welcome you to the desert southwest.

This two-year fellowship program is considered non-Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (non-ACGME). Currently, our program recruits for 1 position each year.

Established in 2014, this fellowship is designed as a post-residency transition to academic practice, subspecialty fellowship, or private practice for graduating residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Radiology. Combined training is provided through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Department of Radiology in women’s imaging with ultrasound as the primary modality. Instruction in complementary imaging modalities using computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging is incorporated into the curriculum. The fellowship directors are all Board-certified, fellowship-trained, academic faculty with an emphasis in women’s imaging and body imaging.

Our Philosophy

This fellowship can be taken as a one or two-year track with the option to earn a master’s degree during training. Academic faculty appointment and pursuit of the registered diagnostic medical sonographer certification is encouraged. Clinical responsibilities will occupy about 20% of the fellow’s time with the remaining time devoted to the fellowship. The schedule allows ample opportunity to pursue research, moonlighting, subspecialty fellowship, or other areas of interest. The fellowship directors are actively involved in research using traditional and novel ultrasound techniques for screening and diagnosis in women’s imaging.
