Lisa Benson-DeVries, EdD, MSN, MBA, CPAN, is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. Her research focuses on interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and patient safety, with an emphasis on improving surgical and perioperative outcomes. She holds degrees from Nebraska Methodist College and Nebraska Wesleyan University. A certified Post Anesthesia Nurse, Dr. Benson-DeVries integrates clinical practice with academic scholarship. Her recent work includes leading a quality improvement initiative to reduce postoperative complications and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Her research, presented nationally, advances interprofessional pedagogy and evidence-based strategies that strengthen healthcare quality and patient-centered outcomes.
