Sabrina Marie Danielsen, MA, PhD

Associate Professor

Dr. Sabrina Danielsen serves as the Director of the Kripke Center for the Study of Religion and Society at Creighton University and as the General Editor of the Journal of Religion & Society. As a sociologist of religion, Dr. Danielsen primarily examines the relationship between religion and society in the United States, particularly in understanding the factors that influence discussion of social issues within religious organizations. Her research has been published in Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Environmental Sociology, Environemtnal Research Letters, Social Science Research, and American Journal of Sociology, and has been discussed in mainstream news venues. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Swarthmore College.
