Dr. Minnich is an Associate Professor at Creighton University College of Nursing with over 13 years of academic service. She earned a DNP in Advanced Public Health/Global Health from Creighton University (2015), an MSN in Community Health Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2002), and a BS in Nursing from Purdue University (1994). Her clinical experience in public health nursing, includes work with migrants, people experiencing homelessness, communicable disease prevention, and women’s health. These experiences have deepened her commitment to improving health outcomes for all and advocating for systemic change. Currently, she teaches population health and professionalism, with a particular emphasis on policy and advocacy. Dr. Minnich's teaching is informed by her past research with underserved populations and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her recent research interests focus on innovative teaching strategies and student well-being, aiming to enhance both the academic experience and the holistic development of nursing students.
