Melissa Taylor, MS, BSN, R.N., is an Instructor in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. Her research focuses on interprofessional communication to improve teamwork and nurse well-being. She is pursuing a PhD in Nursing at the University of Missouri – Sinclair School of Nursing. Taylor holds an MS in Medical Science from the University of South Florida, a BSN from Creighton, and a BS in Kinesiology from Arizona State. With experience in neurocritical care and hospice, she teaches pathophysiology and critical care. She serves as faculty for an interprofessional international learning opportunity, guiding Nursing students through a unique clinical experience in Togo, Africa. Her work on AI chatbots in nursing education earned the Magis! Investigation Research Award, and her End-of-Life simulation was presented at MNRS. Recognized for excellence in teaching and service, including Creighton’s Certificate of Excellence in Classroom Teaching, she is dedicated to advancing healthcare communication and nursing education.
