
Creighton University’s Heider College of Business invites applications and nominations for a Visiting Professor of Business Ethics and Business Law (Non-Tenure Track, Non-Renewable) beginning in Fall 2026. This is a full-time visiting position with teaching and service responsibilities. Qualified candidates will preferably hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy or a closely related field; candidates with a J.D. (with strong competence in ethical theory) will also be considered. Business Ethics and Business Law faculty are part of the Department of Marketing and Management in the Heider College of Business.

• Teach five courses in business ethics and three courses in business law, primarily at the undergraduate level; the undergraduate business ethics course is a follow-up to the pre-required philosophical ethics course
• Deliver in-residence, face-to-face instruction
• Engage with students in a manner consistent with the Jesuit educational tradition
Required:
• Ph.D. in Philosophy, Business Ethics, or a closely related field preferred; J.D. will also be considered
• A strong competence in ethical theory and a solid understanding of the legal environment of business
• Experience teaching at the university level
• Ability to teach across both business ethics and business law subject areas
• Willingness to support and contribute to the Jesuit Mission of the University
Preferred:
• Ph.D. in Philosophy with demonstrated competence in business ethics
• Prior experience teaching business ethics and/or business law courses
• Experience with or commitment to teaching in a values-based educational environment
