Creighton University is required to provide the student or parent with the 1098-T information for the applicable tax year by January 31 of each calendar year. The 1098-T for the qualified educational expenses can be viewed and printed through the student self service NEST site. Graduates can still access their 1098-T tax information on NEST for up to one year after they leave the University.
Students who left Creighton University need to contact Student Financial Services at studentfinancialservices@creighton.edu for assistance obtaining their 1098-T.
To access, view and/or print your 1098-T Form, please go to the NEST and follow the steps listed below.
Students
- Click on Student/Faculty Login
- Enter your NET ID (USER ID), this can be found on your ID card (3 letters & 5 numbers, i.e. AAA33333)
- Enter your BLUE Password
- Click on Student tab
- Click on Tax Notification (1098T)
Parents & Authorized Users
- Click on Authorized Users/Parent Login
- Enter your EMAIL ADDRESS & PASSWORD
- In the Select to View field, click on the arrow to get the dropdown menu
- Choose the option, Tax Notification 1098T
- On the Tax Notification page, click on Select Tax Year for dropdown menu for specific year options

Qualified Expenses
Creighton University is required to report payments received for qualified tuition and related expenses in Box 1 of the 1098-T form. The Box 1 amount will only include payments made for qualified tuition and related expenses and will not include the total amount of payments posted to your account.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The amounts listed in Box 1 may not be the amount you can claim. Please refer to the IRS website or your tax professional for more information.
