Physician Assistant Program in Phoenix

New Physician Assistant Program Launches in Phoenix

First Cohort Planned for Fall of 2023

Creighton University’s Health Sciences-Phoenix Campus is launching a Physician Assistant (PA) program. The new physician assistant program in Phoenix will foster a tradition of excellence by transforming learners into compassionate physician assistants who are dedicated to exemplary patient care. Rooted in our humanist, Jesuit heritage, we empower students to realize their full potential through a commitment to professional growth and service to humanity. Applications open in April 2022 for the inaugural class anticipated in August 2023.

Across Arizona and nationwide, we need more health care providers to address the provider shortage that exists in many areas of our country. By starting a PA program at the new Phoenix campus, Creighton University will be part of the solution

Accreditation

Creighton University’s Physician Assistant Program—Phoenix has applied for Accreditation—Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Creighton University’s Physician Assistant Program—Phoenix anticipates matriculating its first class in August 2023, pending achieving Accreditation—Provisional status at the March 2023 ARC-PA meeting. Accreditation—Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.
