Residents’ Night Out: A fun night out to destress by catching a Creighton Bluejays basketball game or other activity we choose!

Doctor’s Day: We celebrate Doctor’s Day every year at the end of March with a day of festivities, including food, games, contests and prizes. The House Staff are included in these activities.

Food Drive: During each holiday season, Creighton University Medical Center holds a food drive that benefits the Siena/Francis House homeless shelter. For the last several years the house staff have participated in challenges among training programs or between the house staff and the hospital medical staff. The friendly rivalry to “win” the challenges have resulted in an increasing amount of food donations to the shelter each year - sometimes more than 34,000 pounds of food!

House Staff Council

House Staff Council

The House Staff Council serves as a forum for representatives from each training program to meet with the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education (GME), GME administrative staff, and CUMC hospital representatives to discuss issues that concern the members of the house staff. The council members meet monthly.

All of the house staff elect a House Staff President annually – this person serves as a liaison for the house staff with the hospital and medical school. The president may be contacted through the Graduate Medical Education Office at 402.280.4675
