It was so great to meet these physicians, well-known people in the field, and make those connections. Creighton facilitated all of it.”

“At the Virginia G. Piper Medical Clinic, it’s where we learned our early clinical practice. We’d see real patients, see how medical practice integrates with dentistry, social work and other disciplines. It was such a cool way to get to know my community.”

Expanding Healthcare Impact in Arizona

Creighton’s growing presence in Arizona comes at a critical time as the state faces rapid population growth and a shortage of healthcare professionals. We are committed to helping expand access to high-quality care by preparing more healthcare providers to serve communities across the state.

That commitment began in 2005, when Creighton medical students started clinical rotations at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. In 2021, we opened the Phoenix Health Sciences Campus, advancing healthcare education and compassionate patient care in the region.

Academic Partnership with ASU

Creighton offers a 3+ dual degree pathway that gives eligible Arizona State University health sciences students priority consideration for admission into Creighton’s doctoral programs in pharmacy, physical therapy and occupational therapy.

This streamlined pathway allows students to accelerate their education at Creighton while addressing the rising need for skilled, compassionate healthcare workers in Arizona.
