A University of Excellence

Our Jesuit mission demands excellence in academics. We deliver through nine schools and colleges spanning the arts, sciences, business, law and health professions programs. On top of that, if you’re looking to dentistry, law, medicine, occupational therapy, pharmacy or physical therapy, we have the country’s most complete pre-professional scholars program, which offers qualifying students the chance to be part of our guarantee program. If you’re looking to immerse in international destinations to expand your education and prepare for employment, turn to our Global Scholars Program.

Our inclusive educational environment means personal attention from faculty and practical experience. The opportunities here are the launchpad to your aspirations.

Others recognize what we offer. U.S. News & World Report ranks us among the leading National Universities with high rankings for undergraduate teaching, innovation, best value and business programs.

Meet Our Community

Nearly 80% of our students come from out-of-state cities and towns, coast-to-coast and across the world. They settle into a home of their own on campus supported by students, staff and faculty ready to welcome them with events and activities every day of the week. Students live on campus because there is a vibrant life found in the residence and dining halls, student centers, fitness and athletic facilities. The on-campus hustle and bustle creates the caring community that Creighton is known for. Plus, campus is nestled next to downtown Omaha for easy access to nearby food, music, art and sports scenes.

Future Focused

From your first day on campus to long after graduation, you’ll find the support to succeed. Unlike many other universities, classes are taught by industry experts and professors, not teaching assistants, and world-class research opportunities begin here as early as freshman year. From analyzing limestone votive statues in Cyprus to developing non-invasive lasers to diagnose cancer, there is no limit on what you can research as an undergraduate student at Creighton.

We have many opportunities for you to dive into research or just about anything else. Student Success will help you, with academic coaching, tutoring, advising and more, to navigate college and your future. Whatever path you pursue, we’re alongside you every step.

Mark Reedy
“In many ways Creighton is the perfect size. We are large enough that we have a tremendous array of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs but small enough that everything is within a 10-minute walk. I think that facilitates unique experiences and opportunities for both students and faculty.”
— Mark Reedy, Associate Professor and Chair, Biology Department
Amelia Taule
“Every day I feel more grateful for my Jesuit education, and I try to live by the magis value every day. My professors and the Career Center were wonderful. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to land an internship at Nike, and now I’m moving to Spain to start a master’s program in customer experience and innovation!”
— Amelia Taulé, Marketing and Management, Class of 2019 | Santiago, Dominican Republic
Brady Manker
“Creighton immediately stood out among the schools that I visited for their commitment not only to academics and research but to the pride they hold in their values. As someone who wanted to actively work in the sciences, Creighton’s abundant research resources were a clear draw.”
— Brady Manker, Neuroscience, Class of 2020 | Papillion, Nebraska
