Accounting and Business Intelligence and Analytics
Don Lux joined the Heider College of Business faculty at Creighton University in 2018 and serves as Assistant Professor of Practice. He earned his doctorate at Creighton University in 2018. Before entering academia, he began his career in practice on the corporate accounting side and transitioned over to IT with Y2K. His IT work experience covers nearly every area of IT over more than two decades. The companies he worked for in accounting and/or IT were Baker's Supermarkets, First Data, Valmont, LeaseTeam, Modis, eBay, and PayPal.
Don grew up in south Omaha and graduated from Omaha Central High School. He earned a BSBA with a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems. Following that he earned a Master of Science in Information Technology Management as well as a Master of Business Administration. All from Creighton University. Don lives with his wife, Alison, and their sons, Tyler and Ryne, in northwest Omaha.
