Sherman P . Willis

He received his bachelor's degree from Grinnell College, earned a law degree from the University of Iowa (while senior managing editor of the Iowa Law Review), and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Willis clerked for the Hon. Henry T. Wingate, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. He has insurance, law, securities, and mortgage licenses in Nebraska and Iowa. He has earned the RICP and CAP insurance designations and is currently pursuing the ChFC.
Mr. Willis has long been involved with several professional and community organizations, including the Greater Omaha Chamber (Executive Committee), Omaha Children's Museum (Past Board Chair), Mildred D. Brown Memorial Study Center (Former Board President), Urban League of Nebraska (Former Board Chair), and Omaha Public Library (Former Trustee).
He has received several recognitions, including Leadership Omaha Class 36, Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award, 100 Black Men of Omaha Man of Honor Award, State Farm Outstanding Community Engagement Award, Nebraska State Bar Association Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, and Nebraska State Bar Association Award of Appreciation.
