I joined Creighton\'s Occupational Therapy faculty in 2022 following clinical practice in two neurorehabilitation facilities in Nebraska, where I worked with adults with neurologic conditions including stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. My clinical background in neurorehabilitation continues to inform my teaching and scholarship.
Within the entry-level occupational therapy doctoral curriculum, I teach primarily in physical rehabilitation content areas. My teaching emphasizes evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and hands-on learning experiences designed to prepare students for contemporary occupational therapy practice across settings.
In addition to teaching, I serve as Vice Chair of Admissions and External Relations for the OT program, am Co-Chair of the Admissions Committee and am a member of the Center for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research (CIPER) Education Committee. I also contribute to institutional task forces focused on virtual reality and simulation to enhance interprofessional and clinical education experiences. I am particularly interested in advancing equitable access to assistive technology and strengthening educational models that prepare occupational therapists for collaborative, technology-informed practice.
