Creighton’s Omaha Campus is closed Friday, Feb. 20, due to winter weather. All on-campus events, in-person classes, and clinics are canceled. All other classes and events will take place as normal.


Following the election of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope and a graduate of Big East rival Villanova, the Omaha World-Herald discussed the historic event with Creighton President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD, as well as several Creighton professors, students and alumni.
Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost and a native of Chicago, earned a bachelor of science in mathematics before entering the Order of Saint Augustine novitiate.
