Creighton President: Holistic, Humanistic AI in Higher Education

Artificial intelligence is continuing to reshape how students learn and engage with the world. In an editorial published by the Nebraska Examiner, Creighton President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD, reflects on how Jesuit values can ensure higher education is enhanced by this emerging technology.
“At Creighton, we understand that AI has the capacity to strengthen expertise, judgment and knowledge when supported by verified information and emphasizing human-centered solutions," Fr. Hendrickson said. “By being intentional in our methods, these tools can bring us new insights rather than repeat what is already known.”
