ILAC Programming for the Community

Creighton-ILAC works with a variety of high schools, colleges and universities, and organizations both inside and outside of Nebraska to create faith-based service-learning immersion experiences for participants. During these immersions participants live with and learn from campesinos in the rural areas of the Dominican Republic while working alongside community members on a service project. For these groups Creighton University provides logistical scheduling support, pre-departure formation and orientation information, on-site support, and serves as the link between the organization and the ILAC staff and rural communities.

While we would love to welcome all groups to the ILAC campus, our program calendar is quite full with the recurring programs we have on the schedule already! New programs are considered on a case-by-case basis, and several factors are taken into consideration including the program mission and fit with Creighton’s mission, the community impact and sustainability of the program, and staffing feasibility based on current program scheduling. To begin a conversation, please contact Jill Muegge, ILAC Director - Omaha, at JillMuegge@creighton.edu.
