EMS Management Course

In Creighton University’s online EMS Management course, you will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to be an effective entry-level manager in the EMS field. This four-month course covers everything from personnel to operations and equipment, providing a comprehensive foundation in EMS leadership and administration. Students will learn to:

  • Identify and analyze critical managerial issues and concerns
  • Make recommendations for improvement
  • Write proposals (or responses to them)
  • Develop and manage organizational budgets

This is a four-month online course.

EMS Management Course Details

This course mixes practical EMS-management theory with administrative skills and decision-making in an EMS environment. Increase your management skills and prepare for higher-level roles within healthcare or emergency services.

To succeed in this online course, you should plan to commit eight to 12 hours of independent online study each week over the course of four months.

When you successfully complete the EMS Management course, you will receive a certificate of completion. However, Creighton does not participate in a sanctioned certification process, which means you cannot state that you are a certified EMS Manager.

The course attracts a range of EMS professionals, from those with little management background to those with years of middle and upper-level management experience. EMS Management Course Admission Requirements

This course is designed for those with an interest in entry-level EMS management. All levels of personnel are welcome, including those in nursing or fire personnel.

The total cost, including tuition and associated University fees, for this course is $1,200.*
