Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)
Designed to treat children and adolescents age 6-17, the program provides specialized medical, psychiatric, psychosocial and behavioral treatment services to assist youths and their families to gain skills that demonstrate a positive community adjustment. The programs, environment and activities of the treatment center are all focused on patient centered care.

CHI Bergan Mercy is the location of our Graduate Medical Education (GME) office, and where the program manager is located. Categorical Psychiatry Grand Rounds are in-person at CHI Bergan Mercy.

Children’s Hospital and Medical Center is a nonprofit regional pediatric specialty healthcare center. It has a rich history based on community involvement and service to children.
Patients are referred to the 100-bed hospital from a five-state region. Children’s Hospital contains an eating disorder partial program for adolescents that has 4-6 patients at a time.

The Behavioral Health and Wellness Center at Children’s Nebraska is nationally distinctive and the first facility in the region to provide the full spectrum of pediatric mental health services for children and their families across the Midwest. Located adjacent to the main hospital campus in Omaha, the Behavioral Health and Wellness Center at Children’s ensures pediatric behavioral health patients can easily access the essential medical care they need. This prime location provides a more convenient and supportive experience for families.
The facility offers a comprehensive range of services, including crisis assessment, inpatient services, a mental health and substance use partial hospitalization program, an eating disorders partial hospitalization program, and outpatient services—ensuring continuity of care across all levels of need.

Project Harmony is a Child Advocacy Center that integrates assessment, trauma-informed intervention, and coordinated care, giving our learners meaningful exposure to the legal processes and multidisciplinary collaboration inherent to child psychiatry.

NOVA Treatment Community is a residential addiction treatment facility that provides substance use and co-occurring mental health services, offering learners structured exposure to the assessment and longitudinal management of substance use disorders in adolescents.
