Justice and Society (Bachelor of Arts)
Creighton’s Bachelor of Arts in Justice and Society will equip you with the tools to make a profound difference in the world. If you’re interested in social service, social change and enjoy interdisciplinary study, this is the major for you.
As a Justice and Society major, you will explore social scientific research methods and theory, Christian social ethics and social responsibility.
With a foundation in Jesuit, Catholic values, students of all faith traditions will graduate ready to advocate effectively for the underprivileged and serve as lifelong agents for social transformation.

Program Goals
The Bachelor of Arts in Justice and Society will prepare graduates for work in a variety of public service positions.
Within the program, students can choose to specialize in:
- Sociology
- Anthropology
- Criminal Justice
- Native American Studies
Throughout your studies you’ll learn:
- The skills to respond knowledgeably and ethnically in careers involving social service and social change
- How to advocate for and with the poor and marginalized
- An appreciation for interdisciplinary study and personal reflection on life experiences

Admissions Requirements
Creighton admissions are based upon:
- High school GPA
- ACT or SAT scores*
- Extracurricular activities
- Personal statement to demonstrate creative abilities not reflected in your transcripts
- Recommendation from high school counselor
- Honors sections and advanced placement courses will enhance a candidate’s application
*For students who are choosing to apply test-optional, ACT/SAT exam scores are not required at the time of application for admission.
Additional Requirements
Completion of SOC 101, SOC 102, ANT 111 or NAS 101 with a grade of “C” or better, plus 3 credits in a sociology or anthropology course with a grade of “C” or better.
