Student and Alumni Support

Guidance for Every Stage of Your Career

The John P. Fahey Career Center provides resources and guidance for students and alumni as they pursue professional goals. Through individualized advising and curated tools, students can clarify their major and career direction, develop career-related skills and implement meaningful plans.

Alumni can engage with the Career Center to explore new opportunities, pivot to different career paths or recruit Creighton students and fellow alumni.

Meet With an Advisor

Our career advisors are professionals from a variety of backgrounds who share a passion for helping students and alumni explore, develop and implement career goals. You can connect with an advisor to discuss anything from choosing a major or career path to applying for a job or graduate school.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Schedule an appointment through Handshake or call us at 402.280.2722.
  • Bring any necessary documents to your appointment or email them to your advisor beforehand.
  • If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please let us know in advance by emailing the Career Center or calling us at 402.280.2722.

Creighton Mentor Community

Inspired by Creighton’s Ignatian value of cura personalis, or "care for the whole person," the Creighton Mentor Community virtually connects students one-on-one with alumni mentors to enhance the student experience. Each mentor offers the perspective of someone who has walked a similar path and can provide guidance throughout a student’s discernment process. Together, mentors and mentees determine how often to connect (generally at least once a month), which communication method works best and the topics to discuss. The program runs through one academic year and concludes in May, although mentors and mentees are welcome to stay connected beyond the end of the school year.
