Undergrad Admissions Requirements
Join a community of passionate leaders committed to making the world a better place. We’re looking for students with passion. Students who serve their communities selflessly and lead confidently. You have worked hard to get here – now show us who you are and what matters to you.
Creighton looks at each individual’s application holistically. We do not maintain minimum score requirements for GPA or standardized tests, rather we take a comprehensive view of your entire application including your academic success, course rigor, community service outside of the classroom, and standardized test performance. Creighton considers superscores from both ACT and SAT. Your superscore is the total of your highest section scores, even if they are from different test dates. We have no preference between the two exams.
As a Catholic, Jesuit institution, Creighton University encourages students to be aware of important social justice issues facing society today and actively participate in the conversation. For students who take part in peaceful protests on issues that are important to them, there will be no admissions ramifications.
Recommended High School Curriculum
We encourage you to challenge yourself with a solid curriculum that expands your academic skills. You will also enhance your application by participating in Advanced Placement courses, the International Baccalaureate Program, and honors programs.
|Algebra and Higher Mathematics||3|
|Natural Science (with labs)||2**|
*Students attending high school in a state that does not require foreign language can be exempt from the 2 unit foreign language requirement. Students exempt from the high school requirement will still be required to fulfill the minimum foreign language requirement as established in Creighton’s Magis Core curriculum. American Sign Language courses count toward the foreign language requirement.
**Creighton offers 4-year direct-entry into the College of Nursing for interested applicants. Applicants to the College of Nursing must complete a chemistry course in high school with a “C” or better.
“Creighton pushes you to be the best you can be, and I chose Creighton because I knew it would be the best investment I could make in my future. The faculty are so great at introducing us to life-changing new adventures and endeavors not available at other schools. I participated in a service trip last summer, and I had the most amazing experience on a faculty-led trip to Haiti. These experiences have been life-changing for me.”
