The Scott Scholarship is Creighton’s premier merit-based scholarship program, made possible through the generosity of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation. The Scott Scholars program seeks to attract and equip future business leaders, entrepreneurial in spirit, who strive for excellence, innovation, and community impact. The Scott Scholarship provides full tuition and room and board, in addition to distinctive programming and engagement with Omaha’s business community to further develop each scholar’s network and maximize their potential.

Program Benefits:

  • Fully funded tuition, mandatory University fees, and room and board for four years, co-sponsored by the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation and Creighton University.
  • Guaranteed on-campus housing for four years (eight consecutive semesters).
  • Funded summer on-campus housing for Scott Scholars who secure summer internships in Omaha.
  • Access to an executive speaker series and company visits.
  • Four-year, co-curricular programming including career exploration, professional development and networking.
  • Individualized academic and career advising and priority registration.
  • Access to funding for approved student enrichment opportunities.
  • Leadership development through the Anna Tyler Waite Leadership Program and the Scott Mentorship Program.
  • Engagement in and successful completion of the Anna Tyler Waite Leadership program.
  • Engagement in and successful completion of Creighton’s Career Portfolio program.
  • 25 hours of community service per semester (Dean’s Honor Roll of Social Responsibility).
  • Pursue a major in the Heider College of Business in service of launching a career in business.
  • Must have at least a 3.8 GPA and 28 ACT to be eligible. Must maintain a 3.30 minimum cumulative GPA at Creighton to maintain eligibility
  • Enrollment in the Scott Scholars one-credit fall freshman seminar
  • Heider College of Business Dean’s Executive Speaker series (weekly, spring semester)
  • Mentee in the Scott Scholars’ Mentorship program  
  • Engagement in Anna Tyler Waite Leadership Program, Year 1
  • Engagement in Career Portfolio Program, Year 1
  • Completion of 25 service hours per semester, Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Responsibility
  • Access to Scott Scholars socials and special events
  • Access to up to $2000 in annual funding for approved professional development and/or enrichment experiences
     
  • Enrollment in Scott Scholars weekly seminar (personal and professional development, company visits/tours and networking)
  • Mentor in Scott Scholars’ Mentorship program
  • Engagement in Anna Tyler Waite Leadership Program, Year 2
  • Engagement in Career Portfolio Program, Year 2
  • Completion of 25 service hours per semester, Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Responsibility
  • Access to Scott Scholars socials and special events
  • Access to up to $2000 in annual funding for approved professional development and/or enrichment experiences
  • Scott Scholars’ Omaha Passport program (behind-the-scenes tour of Omaha)
  • Small-group executive meet-n-greets within Omaha’s most successful businesses
  • Mentor in Scott Scholars’ Mentorship program
  • Engagement in Anna Tyler Waite Leadership Program, Year 3
  • Engagement in Career Portfolio Program, Year 3
