The Mexican Health System and Challenges at the Border

Description

Mexico's health system delivers a wide range of healthcare services, provided by public institutions, run by government departments, private hospitals and clinics, and private physicians. Although public healthcare is available to all Mexican citizens, it is not without a number of daunting challenges.

The Kino Border Initiative (KBI) is a binational, inclusive, Roman Catholic organization, inspired by the spirituality of the Jesuits and Missionaries of the Eucharist; locally rooted in Ambos Nogales on the Mexico-USborder and with a regional approach throughout Central and North America. KBI's vision is simply and compassionately stated, "Migration with Dignity."
