Active Shooter Situations
An active shooter situation occurs when an intruder enters a building or campus grounds and threatens the personal safety and welfare of our students, faculty, staff and guests.
Banned and Barred Listing
The Threatening Behavior Committee publishes a list of those individuals banned and barred from Creighton University. This list is only for the use of Creighton students, faculty, and staff members.
Campus Safety Committee
The Campus Safety Committee addresses environmental, health, safety and risk issues for Creighton University.
Campus Security & Public Safety
Public Safety is a customer-service organization open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. All Public Safety officers are trained in CPR and first aid, and act as first responders to campus emergencies.
Chemical & Laboratory Safety
The Environmental Health & Safety website provides tips for safer procedures in laboratories, including compressed gas safety, flammable material storage and waste disposal.
Compliance and Ethics
The University has established help lines and related resources to report incidents and address questions regarding compliance responsibilities and ethical issues. An anonymous hotline is available to report activities that may involve serious misconduct, violations of laws and regulations, or University policies.
Creighton Crisis Committee
Emergency preparedness is key to safety and security on campus. The Creighton Crisis Committee serves to make Creighton University a safe place for all students, faculty and staff.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Faculty, staff and their families can access Creighton’s EAP for confidential consultation on a wide variety of personal, family and/or work-related problems that may contribute to high levels of stress and interfere with health and work performance.

On-Call Health Resources
Contact Public Safety if you need a student health provider, counselor on duty, residence life, campus minister or a university responder.
All vehicles parked on Creighton University property are required to display a valid university parking permit. For all questions related to parking, contact Public Safety.
Personal mobile safety device “POM”
The personal mobile safety device or “POM” is a discreet handheld remote that enables students on and off campus immediately summon assistance from Public Safety or 911 to an exact geographic location in the event of an unsafe, uncomfortable or emergency situation.

Students who have not been able to resolve a concern or complaint have a resource at Creighton to register their complaint with the University. This is a resource for students only and the policy and Student Complaint Form are available here.
