Creighton University Recreation + Wellness is hosting Bluejay Summer Kids Camp again in 2025!
Campers going into grades 1-6 are invited to register for one or more week-long sessions. Each camp week will include traditional summer camp activities of arts & crafts, swimming, and games, along with special activities and field trips based on that week’s theme.
Registration will open on Friday, January 31, 2025, for Creighton affiliates and on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 9 a.m. for the general public.
Sessions
- Session 1: June 16 - 20: The Great Outdoors*
- *No camp Thursday, June 19
- The Great Outdoors week at camp is all about exploring the beauty of nature in Nebraska! Campers will enjoy a week of outdoor fun, from nature walks and scavenger hunts to exciting games and outdoor crafts. Whether it’s enjoying the fresh air or getting creative, The Great Outdoors Week is the perfect way to spark campers’ love for nature and adventure!
- Session 2: June 23 - 27: Superhero Academy
- Superhero Academy Week is a week full of epic adventures, where campers will discover their inner heroes! From creating their own superhero identities to completing missions, campers will work together to solve challenges, master their unique "superpowers," and save the day through exciting games and activities. Get ready for an action-packed week of courage, creativity, and fun!
- Session 3: July 7 - 11: Animal Kingdom
- Animal Kingdom Week is a wild adventure where campers get to explore the amazing world of animals! From learning about different species to creating animal-inspired crafts, campers will discover the wonders of the animal kingdom through fun, hands-on activities. Animal Kingdom Week is the perfect way for campers to unleash their inner wildlife explorer!
- Session 4: July 14 - 19: ArtVenture Week
- ArtVenture Week is an exciting journey into the world of creativity, where campers embark on a fun-filled adventure through different art forms! Each day brings a new artistic challenge, with opportunities to create unique masterpieces, collaborate with friends, and discover new talents.
- Session 5: July 21 - 25: Sports Spectacular
- Sports Spectacular Week is a high-energy, action-packed week at camp where campers can unleash their inner athletes! From team competitions to individual challenges, campers will participate in a variety of sports and games, all while building teamwork, sportsmanship, and lasting memories.
- Session 6: July 28 - August 1: Medieval Quest
- Medieval Quest Week is a journey back in time to a world of knights, castles, and dragons! Campers will embark on epic adventures, testing their bravery and teamwork through fun activities like jousting challenges, treasure hunts, and creating their own medieval crafts. With exciting games and creative fun, Medieval Quest Week brings the magic of the Middle Ages to life for every camper!
Pricing & Schedules
Cost: $250 per session (Week 1 is $200)
- 1/2 Summer Discount: Register your child for 3 or more weeks and receive a $50 discount.
- Full Summer Discount: Register your child for all 6 weeks and receive a $125 discount.
- Discounts will apply to total registration costs. Must register for all 3 or 6 weeks at the same time to receive the discount and registration must be done in person in the Recreation + Wellness main office (Kiewit Fitness Center 213) or by calling 402.280.3023. Discounts are per camper and cannot be stacked or combined.
Schedule: Camps run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day.
Extended care is available (7:30 a.m. drop-off, 5:30 p.m. pick-up) for a $25 add-on fee per session. Creighton affiliates can opt-in to extended care for no additional fee.

Will food be provided?
Snacks will be provided daily, but campers should also pack a lunch.
What staff will be present during the day?
Staff will be comprised of Creighton students who are Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.

Is there a refund policy?
Refunds are provided up to two weeks before camp begins.
Are phones permitted?
Yes, but phones must be put away during summer camp activities. Use will be permitted when directed by counselors.
What type of attire does my child need to bring?
Athletic attire is preferred. Swim attire will be needed on swim days, which will be announced in advance.
