Virtual Mobillity Exchange AUSJAL - AJCU

The meeting will cover two main topics:

1. Programa Electivas Virtuales (PEV)
   Launched in 2016, this program of elective virtual courses was created to increase collaboration between students and faculty and reduce barriers normally found with in-person courses and regular study-abroad programs. This program permits students to access courses that are not offered at their home institutions but that are if great interest to them and will complement their academic programs. The program is set up as a virtual exchange:  Students are nominated by their home institutions, are registered for credit, and upon completing receive a transcript, but no fees are exchanged. AUSJAL institutions are looking to broaden the menu of courses for their students through courses at AJCU institutions. The list of AUSJAL courses that currently are part for this exchange is available at https://cursos.leon.uia.mx/intercambiovirtual/index.php. ASUJAL is offering this resource to AJCU institutions and looking for further opportunities for collaboration.
    
2. Programa Inmersión Dual Virtual (PIDV)
   Dual virtual immersion is a collaborative strategy between several AUSJAL and AJCU institutions for language and intercultural learning. Dual immersion has been used effectively for development of conversation skills of non-native speakers, and increasingly being used in Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and through virtual webinars.  ASUJAL is also offering this resource to AJCU institutions and looking for further opportunities for collaboration.
