In many cases, you can earn your education master’s in education online, opening new career path while working at your own pace. Educational Leadership (MS)

  • This program prepares individuals to play a leadership role in schools. Students may choose either the school administration concentration or the teacher leadership concentration in pursuit of the educational leadership degree.

Educational Specialist (MS)

  • In this program, students combine specializations in Catholic School Leadership, Early Childhood Education, English as a Second Language, Teacher Leadership, and Sports Leadership to earn a master’s degree and a combination of credentials or certificates. This personalized degree is one-of-a-kind—you won’t find it anywhere else!

Elementary School Teaching (MEd)

  • This program is designed for a person with a bachelor's degree who is interested in earning an initial Nebraska teaching certificate to teach at the elementary level. This program includes state-required courses shared with the undergraduate teacher-preparation program, graduate-only professional coursework, and a student teaching semester.

Magis Catholic Teacher Corps

  • Magis is a two-year post-graduate service teaching program at Creighton University. While Magis teachers teach in Catholic schools, they earn their graduate degree through the Education Department at Creighton University, live in intentional Christian communities with other members of the program and participate in ongoing spiritual, professional, and personal formation.

School Counseling (MS)

  • This program empowers aspiring counselors to provide positive and effective guidance to their students and their school communities. Curriculum is based on the standards identified within the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) national model.

Secondary School Teaching (MEd)

  • This program is designed for college graduates who are interested in earning their Nebraska teaching certificate with a master’s degree. Secondary (7-12) teaching endorsements are offered in the following areas: English, French, History, Religious Education (P-12), and Spanish. The department also offers field endorsements in the following areas: Art (P-12), Language Arts, Mathematics (6-12), Science, and Social Science.
