Dual Degree Medicine Programs
Expand Your Skills With a Dual Degree
Creighton University School of Medicine students have the option to earn their Doctor of Medicine (MD) and an advanced degree through one of three joint degree programs: MD/PhD, MD/MBA or MD/MSHCE (Healthcare Ethics).
As healthcare evolves, many doctors benefit from additional training in areas such as business, leadership and ethics. A dual degree can provide more career opportunities and increase your effectiveness in a changing healthcare environment.
The MD/MBA gives students additional career opportunities as administrators and executives in healthcare-related fields. As a physician in a large or small practice, it can also help you perform business-related functions more effectively.

Medical students in the certificate program can graduate within four years with both an MD and a Graduate Certificate in Bioethics. The certificate portion is completed online.
Completion of the MD and MSHCE typically takes five years, with the MSHCE program portion online.
