Dr. Kellen Andersen

Dr. Kellen Andersen was born and raised in Paynesville, Minnesota. After majoring in Biology and dabbling with minors in neuroscience and sociology/anthropology at Gustavus Adolphus College, he decided to head further south to seek warmer weather and a medical education at Creighton University School of Medicine where he fell head-over-heels in love with psychiatry. Here, Dr. Andersen participated in various mentoring groups, volunteered with the Magis clinic, and reenforced his value of patient-centered care and humanism in medicine. Basking in the perfect blend of seasons, Dr. Andersen can be found doing many things around Omaha with friends including going hammocking, finding the best crab rangoon in the city, listening to podcasts, playing D&D, reading fantasy and medical fiction, and perfecting his recipe of the year at dinner parties. Kellen’s professional interests include mentoring, understanding the human condition as it relates to mental illness, providing care to underserved populations, and the power of mindfulness and self-reflection

Dr. Haley Schuster was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She attended Missouri State University where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She completed her medical school training at Creighton University. Dr. Schuster wanted to be a physician since she was 4 years old. However, a family incident while she was in high school gave her first-hand experience with mental illness and the stigma surrounding it. In a roundabout way, that incident ended up drawing her to the field of psychiatry. Attending Creighton University, a program that focuses on emotional wellbeing, Dr. Schuster was able to re-evaluate that incident and how it impacted her life. During the fall semester of her M1 year, Dr. Schuster made the realization that psychiatry would be the specialty she pursued. Her M3 psychiatry rotation only solidified that desire. Dr. Schuster’s passions are patient advocacy as well as combatting the stigma surrounding mental illness. In her free time, Dr. Schuster loves being outdoors. Whether she is car-camping in the Rocky Mountains, riding her bike, or trying out a new fishing spot with her fiancé. She also enjoys painting, collecting vinyl albums, and snuggling her spoiled puppy dog, Korra.
