LHRC uses a strength-based care philosophy that offers an entire range of treatment and prevention services for those affected by mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. LHRC also incorporates evidence-based practices, such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Peer Support Specialists. The overall goal is to instill hope, a sense of possibility and to rebuild a positive self-image for patients and help them get back to their daily routine

Community organizations co-located at the Lasting Hope Recovery Center include National Alliance on Mental Illness-Nebraska, The Salvation Army and Lutheran Family Services. Having these agencies on-site provides patients with a more seamless transition into the outpatient setting.
