Kids Can mentors are dedicated volunteers who provide guidance, support, and encouragement to a child in our after-school program, aged 7-13. We have a one-on-one, site-based program. Mentoring matches meet once a week at Kids Can (4860 Q St.) after 4:30pm, and we ask for a one-year commitment to grow the relationship. Mentoring matches decide together what activities they will do each week. This includes playing board games, baking, playing sports, and doing arts and crafts! All activities are provided. Mentors receive training and ongoing support from Kids Can staff. We are looking for volunteers 18 or older with no history of child abuse and neglect.
