Scoring an Internship with The Basketball Tournament

As an events intern with The Basketball Tournament (TBT), Lainie Steven got to help run tournaments that aired on ESPN and meet people from all over the world. She says her background as a Creighton business student helped her make smart decisions for the tournament and take on tasks above and beyond her job description. It also helped her see herself in a sport management career down the road. She credits Creighton’s emphasis on internships and career support systems with giving her the confidence to apply to such a high-profile position.
