Associate Professor

Faith Kurtyka is an associate professor of English at Creighton. She uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to study undergraduate culture and its influence on students’ writing practices. Her past research includes the writing and literacy practices of a campus sorority, the political beliefs of conservative undergraduate women, and the Instagram of a women’s fitness group. She recently received a CURAS grant to study how students compose their personal statements for medical school.
