Associate Vice Provost for Student Life

Dr. Michele Bogard joined the Creighton community in 2001.  Over the 25 years she has held a variety of roles engaging students outside of the classroom through leadership experiences and program engagement.  Currently Dr. Bogard works directly with several areas in Student Life, including Recreation and Wellness, Student Health Education and Compliance, Student Counseling Services and the Student Leadership and Involvement Center to integrate wellbeing and engagement efforts for students. She will assist Creighton to launch the new Fritz Family Cura Services effort in the summer of 2026. Dr. Bogard engages in committee work surrounding mission and ministry, global education, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing efforts. Serving as a university responder on call, she has been blessed to accompany students in times of crisis and flourishing.


Dr. Bogard earned a PhD in Educational Studies – specializing in Educational Leadership and Higher Education – from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, a MS in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, and a BA degree in International Relations, minoring in Spanish from Drake University. Dr. Bogard has received the Mary Lucretia and Sarah Emily Creighton Award from Creighton's Committee on the Status of Women, the St. Ignatius Award from Creighton University’s Deglman Center for Spirituality, the Magis Award from Student Life, and the Distinguished Graduate Award from St. Raphael School.
