Katie Zander, DNP, APRN, PPCNP-BC, CPNP-AC is an Instructor at Creighton University’s College of Nursing. Her research focuses on pediatric healthcare, high school health science education, and professional identity development. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Creighton University. She is a dual certified pediatric nurse practitioner in both primary and acute care. Dr. Zander maintains clinical practice as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Children's Nebraska with the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Team. Her scholarly work includes advancing interprofessional education, pediatric resuscitation training, and AI-enhanced clinical evaluation tools. She has received awards such as the Clinical Excellence Award and is a CIPER Associate & Scholar Mentor. Through her research and teaching, Dr. Zander is committed to enhancing pediatric care and interprofessional collaboration, equipping the next generation of nurses with critical skills for improving patient outcomes.

Great history taking can make the difference in a patient with familial condition, Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome, receiving the correct treatment plan. This presentation will include a case study regarding a complicated intussusception presentation and ultimate Peutz-Jegher Syndrome diagnosis. 2022
