Located in the heart of the Midwest, Kansas City offers Magis teachers the best of both worlds—a vibrant metropolitan area with the strong sense of community and connection that makes it quickly feel like home.

The Kansas City Magis Community began in 2014 with Cohort 13 and has continued to grow through partnerships with Catholic schools across the metro area. Today, Magis teachers serve at St. Patrick School, Resurrection Catholic School, and Cristo Rey Kansas City, bringing their gifts to classrooms while becoming part of the life and mission of their school communities.

Life in Kansas City extends far beyond the classroom. Magis teachers live together in intentional Christian community, supporting one another through the joys and challenges of teaching, graduate school, faith, and everyday life. Whether sharing meals at home, discovering Kansas City’s famous food scene, attending festivals, exploring different neighborhoods, or cheering on the Royals and Chiefs, there are countless opportunities to build relationships and experience the city together.

At its heart, the Kansas City experience is about more than where Magis teachers live or teach. It is about becoming part of something larger—growing as educators, accompanying one another in community, serving Catholic schools, and discovering how God is at work through it all.
