Magis in Kansas City, KS & MO

We’re Cookin’ in KC

Located at the crossroads of the Midwest, Kansas City blends urban energy, rich food culture, and strong neighborhood ties. The Kansas City Magis Community began in 2014 with Cohort 13, teaching at Bishop Ward High School and Resurrection Catholic School while living together in a renovated parish residence in downtown Kansas City, Kansas with a great view of the city from the back deck. From the beginning, shared life and mission have been central to the Kansas City Magis experience.

Since its founding, the program has maintained a strong partnership with Bishop Ward and expanded to include Cristo Rey Kansas City, Nativity of Mary School in Independence, St. Paul School in Olathe, and St. Michael the Archangel High School in Lee’s Summit. Outside the classroom, Kansas City Magis teachers enjoy exploring local restaurants, attending festivals, cheering on the Royals and Chiefs, and building relationships in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood and across the metro area, forming a community grounded in hospitality, service, relationships, and shared purpose.
