Please take proper winter weather precautions throughout the day and contact public safety at 402.280.2911 for any emergencies.
In keeping with the Jesuit, Catholic tradition of Creighton University and the mission of the School of Medicine, The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is committed to providing exceptional anesthesia services, in an educational environment, to all of our patients.
The department’s scope of practice includes the treatment and management of all forms of pain, surgical optimization, elements of critical care, and the entirety of the perioperative setting. We value excellence in clinical care, exemplary postgraduate training in anesthesia, and original and innovative basic and clinical research. Our anesthesia services are currently centered at our main clinical campus, Creighton University Medical Center, which in addition to serving as a level 1 trauma center provides a full range of complex medical and surgical care including: cardiac, neuro, vascular, thoracic, critical care, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, orthopedics, esophageal & bariatric, burns, and more. Additionally, our department provides anesthesia services to over 40,000 patients per year at four other CHI Health hospitals in the metro area encompassing a wide variety of practice settings.
I invite you to browse our department’s webpage to learn more about us: who works here, how we provide care, and how we advance the profession. Whether you are a patient, a visitor, potential employee, or future resident in training, we hope you may learn more about us and why we love what we do.
