BlueJay Fitness Classes

Fitness Classes for every interest and skill level.

Recreation and Wellness provides classes for everyone, from the beginner to the experienced exerciser. With a group fitness pass, you can attend as many classes as you’d like. Passes are $25 per semester and $10 per summer

You may purchase a pass in the Recreation and Wellness office during business hours, or online.

  • Barre 101 (LVL 1): Get the same full body workout as you would in a normal Barre class but learn the basics to Barre in this introductory class.
  • Cycle 101 (LVL 1): Learn indoor cycling techniques in this introductory class. It is great for those new to spinning or just want a refresher on the basics! The music will be high, and the energy and enthusiasm will match!
  • Ignite 101 (LVL 1): This 30-minute intro class is the perfect steppingstone to lead up into our CU FIRE30 and CU FIRE classes. This lower intensity TABATA workout will still be able to get your heart rate up and leave you walking away feeling accomplished and strong.
  • Stretch + Flex (LVL 1): Like yoga, this class focuses on mindfulness and reflection, while improving flexibility + posture, decreasing muscle tension + stress, and improving your overall core strength.
  • Sunrise Yoga (LVL 1): Gently ease into your day with progressive yoga movements that help center you and leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to start your day.
  • Yoga (LVL 1): Work to challenge and connect your mind and body through a series of postures/exercises, deep breathing and relaxation techniques.
  • Yoga 101 (LVL 1): This class works to keep the body in motion and teaches you how to link your breath to movement, while also teaching you basic yoga postures. This is great for those new to yoga or just beginning.
  • Zumba 101 (LVL 1): Learn the basics to Zumba in this level 1 course and still experience the fun and challenging fitness twist of this Latin-inspired dance routine class.
  • Barre (LVL 2): A muscle-toning class that utilizes a ballet barre for many of the exercises. Your muscular endurance will be challenged by very high reps and low weights, with the goal of fatiguing all major muscle groups for a full body workout.
  • BlueJay Cycle (LVL 2): A high energy, 45-minute cycling class in which you will be riding flat roads and hills to build lower body strength and improve cardiovascular fitness. The music is high, and the energy is even higher! This is a great low impact option for your joints.
  • BlueJay Cycle + Sculpt (LVL 2): Spend the first half of class cycling & the other half off the bike performing high repetition, low weight exercises to tone & sculpt every muscle in the body.
  • BlueJay Feel Good Ride (LVL 2): Kick off your day with this 45-minute ride that will get your heart pumping and endorphins flowing! The music will be high, and you will be met by an enthusiastic instructor that will guide you through climbs, sprints and choreography. Perfect for strength, toning, and endurance.
  • CU FIRE-30 (LVL 2): This 30-minute TABATA class in the next step up from our IGNITE 101 and the perfect lead up our CU FIRE30 classes. With an energized and motivated instructor, this class is designed to get your heart pumping and promote strength and endurance training.
  • CU Jump (LVL 2): Come and jump with us! Jump Rope that is! This 45-minute class will be sure to get the heart rate up while building full body strength and increasing your cardiovascular fitness.
  • Power Yoga (LVL 2): A fast paced yoga class that is excellent for building full body strength as well as burning calories.
  • Vinyasa Flow (LVL 2): Seamlessly string together yoga postures/exercises by linking your breath to the movement. No two classes will ever be alike!  
  • WERQ (LVL 2): An addictive cardio dance class based around the hottest pop and hip-hop music. The workout is non-stop with repetitive athletic moves and fresh dance steps, so you get the best sweat!
  • Zumba (LVL 2): Experience fun and challenging fitness twist in this Latin-inspired dance routine class.
  • CU FIRE (LVL 3): This 45-minute TABATA class is the next level up from our IGNITE 101 or CU FIRE30 classes. You will work in intervals of 20-seconds on and 10-seconds rest to really challenge your endurance, burn fat and build muscle! Combine that with a highly motivated and enthusiastic instructor, you are sure to walk out feeling strong and powerful.
