This approach ensures that the client always feels their sense of agency and helps the client understand and communicate their vision, ideas, and reasons for change. Coaches encourage a growth mindset so clients can experiment and find ways to create lasting and sustainable changes. No matter the setting, clients’ outcomes are improved when they feel a sense of agency and freedom of choice when changing behaviors. It is up to the coach to empower the client to achieve a growth mindset and connect their vision with the resources available to achieve their goals.
