How to Apply Radiology-Diagnostic

Become a Radiologist-Diagnostic Resident

All applications for our Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) online application system only. All applicant positions are exclusively committed through ERAS and the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).

Only completed applications will be reviewed for interview offers by our program for the upcoming match with training that begins in AY2024-25. Currently our program recruits eight radiology positions each year with training beginning after the successful completion of an ACGME approved clinical PGY-1 year which the applicant matches into separately and independently from our program and application process. We currently have no unexpected vacancies in our residency program.

A completed application must include:

  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) - the medical school dean’s letter
  • Medical school transcript
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Steps 1 & STEP 2 USMLE required passing on first attempt
  • Personal statement

Applicant Requirements

  • Medical school graduation year no more than 5 years prior to the application year.
  • Applicants must be either U.S. Citizens, permanent residents, Green Card holders or have a J1 Visa (sponsored by ECFMG). We do not sponsor any visas through our program or institution.
  • Valid ECFMG certificate if you graduated from a medical school outside of the U.S. or Canada.

Application and Interview Timeline

  • Applicant reviews will begin after 9/27/23.
  • Our program will be participating in Thalamus.
  • Applicants will have a minimum of 48 hours after an interview invitation email to accept or decline. If an applicant has not responded after 48 hours, the program will extend an offer to other applicants and the previous invite will have expired.
  • We always limit interview invitations to the number of interview slots available within our program.
  • We will be conducting virtual interviews only. These will begin in the middle of November and will conclude in the middle of January.
