Bachelor of Science in Paramedicine

Creighton offers this program—one of the first professional EMS education programs in the United States—to give students the opportunity to pursue meaningful careers and become leaders in their field. The program includes clinical immersion and direct patient care.

Master of Science in Paramedicine

With our online Master of Science in Paramedicine program, students gain the knowledge and skills to become effective healthcare leaders. The program prepares graduates for leadership roles requiring administration, education and training, planning, and research and development.

Bachelor of Science in Paramedicine (Online Degree Completion Pathway)

This pathway is designed for working paramedics with prior education. Courses are online, and with flexibility in scheduling, students can work while completing their Bachelor of Science in Paramedicine.

Paramedic Program

This program offers innovative and creative paramedic classes at Creighton—a nationally accredited and recognized leader in EMS education. It consists of approximately 390 hours of classroom lecture, 120 hours of lab/simulation and 675 hours of practicum time.

Critical Care Paramedic

This course prepares students to deliver advanced critical care when moving patients from one healthcare facility to another via ground or air ambulance—or when responding at the scene of a medical or trauma event. While mostly online, the course includes an onsite, multiday session.

EMS Instructor

This online course is ideal for students who want to become entry-level EMS instructors. It provides training on facilitating quality, student-centered lectures, as well as how to do the online research necessary to present relevant and effective EMS courses.

EMS Management

The online EMS Management course at Creighton gives students the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to be effective entry-level EMS managers. It covers a range of topics, including personnel, operations and equipment to prepare students for management.

EMT

Creighton’s industry-leading EMT course gives students the preparation they need to serve communities as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)—either as professionals or volunteers. Along with classroom learning, the course includes clinical ambulance and hospital experiences.

Pre-hospital Care for Nurses

This course allows RNs, LPNs and other healthcare professionals to gain the capabilities to deliver emergency care outside the hospital. The intensive one-week course is offered exclusively on the Creighton University campus in Omaha.

Paramedic Preparation Course for Healthcare Professionals

This course is ideal for nurses and physicians who want to become certified paramedics. The intensive, on-campus course covers a range of topics including assessment and care of out-of-hospital trauma and medical emergencies and EMS patient transport equipment.
