First Generation Students

First generation students have the incredible opportunity to be the first in their family to experience study abroad while in college!  As the first person in your family to be presented with such a unique experience, you and your support community probably have many questions.  The Global Engagement Office (GEO) staff is ready to support you and your family through the process.

  • How will I talk about my study abroad plans with my family and friends? 
  • In what ways will my study abroad experience contribute to my overall experience in college?
  • How will study abroad impact my personal, academic, and professional goals?
