Important Dates
- June 8, 2022: 2023 ERAS season begins
- August 1, 2022: Supplemental ERAS application opens for applicants
- September 7, 2022: Applicants may begin submitting applications to residency programs through ERAS at 9:00 am (ET)
- September 28, 2022: Residency programs begin reviewing applications
- October-December 2022: Internal Medicine Residency Training Program Interview Process
- To be consistent with recommendations from the ACGME, NBME and NRMP our Internal Medicine Residency Training Program will conduct interviews virtually for all applicants through Zoom.
- March 2023: National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) main residency match results
Application Requirements
- For the 2023 ERAS cycle, our program will be participating in the Supplemental ERAS Application offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. Applicants will be required to complete the MyERAS Application, and participation in the Supplemental ERAS Application is optional.

- Must be within three (3) years from medical school graduation including two (2) years of clinical experience.
- To be considered for selection, eligible applicants must be either a US citizen, seek a J-1 Visa, or have permanent resident status (green card). Our program only accepts J-1 ECFMG certified Visa.
Process and Communication
- For the 2023 ERAS cycle, our program will be participating in the Supplemental ERAS Application offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. Applicants will be required to complete the MyERAS Application, and participation in the Supplemental ERAS Application is optional.
- Applications are screened by our Selection Committee utilizing a holistic review.
- We use a multi-criteria-based selection process and therefore do not provide minimum USMLE/Equivalent score requirements.
- Invitation for interview will be sent to the applicant through ERAS.
- Date selection process: Initial email will provide date options for applicant to choose from and self-schedule.
- Self-scheduling dates will be locked eight (8) days prior to scheduled interview date.
- Applicant will receive email communication through ERAS including details of your virtual interview day. What is Your
Interview Day Like?
- Your Interview will be done virtually using Zoom
- A pre-interview open house with our Resident Team of the Day will be held the evening prior to your scheduled interview day.
- Your interview day will be 2.5 hours consisting of:
- Program Director welcome and introduction
- Two (2) faculty interviews
- Breakout sessions with the R3 Recruitment Champion on Life as a Resident
- Resident Team of the Day round table sessions
- Formal conclusion with the R3 Recruitment Champion
