Thank you for your interest in our Internal Medicine Residency Program at Creighton University.
As you peruse our website, I hope that you are able to appreciate all that we have to offer prospective residents. We have a comprehensive educational curriculum based on a rolling eighteen-month schedule, challenging clinical rotations across a variety of general medicine and subspecialty topics, ongoing and active clinical research and quality improvement projects, and one-on-one mentorship that starts before you even see your first patient. We house multiple fellowships on-site, including cardiology, interventional cardiology, pulmonary and critical care, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and endocrinology. Because of the skill of our residents and the great training opportunities offered here, you’ll notice that many of our graduates have chosen to continue their training in these programs.
As a graduate of our training program myself, I am often asked why I chose to continue my career here. I am proud of the strong values of our program and the collegial, supportive atmosphere you’ll find here. The culture of our program is one of teamwork, respect, and an earnest interest in the wellbeing and growth in our residents into fully-trained internists ready for independent practice. We strive to strike the right balance of supervision and autonomy for each of our trainees through ongoing evaluation and feedback designed to maximize performance.
I hope you find the information you need on our website. If not, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or our coordinators.
Sincerely,
